Saudi Aramco has awarded SLB a five-year contract to provide stimulation and related services supporting the Kingdom’s unconventional gas development program, the companies said.
The agreement covers advanced stimulation, well intervention, frac automation, and digital technologies aimed at accelerating production from Saudi Arabia’s unconventional gas resources. The contract forms part of a broader, multi-billion-dollar development effort focused on expanding domestic gas supply to support power generation, industrial growth, and liquids displacement.
Aramco’s unconventional gas program is a key pillar of Saudi Arabia’s long-term energy strategy, supporting increased gas availability for domestic use while enabling crude oil exports. SLB will deploy its integrated service portfolio to improve operational efficiency, automation, and well performance across the gas fields.
