TechnipFMC Wins Major Subsea Scope on Mozambique FLNG Project

TechnipFMC has secured a $250 million–$500 million subsea EPCI contract from Eni for the Coral North FLNG development offshore Mozambique, covering flowlines, risers, manifolds and umbilicals in ultradeep water.

(P&GJ) — TechnipFMC has secured a substantial subsea Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) contract from Eni for the Coral North floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project offshore Mozambique, the companies said Dec. 18.

The Coral North development will be the second FLNG project offshore Mozambique and will be installed in water depths of about 2,000 meters. For TechnipFMC, a “substantial” contract is valued between $250 million and $500 million.

Jonathan Landes, President, Subsea for TechnipFMC, said the company will build on its experience from the Coral South project, the world’s first FLNG facility installed in ultradeep water.

“We are excited to once again work with Eni and their consortium partners in Mozambique. We will leverage our experience gained from the successful delivery of Coral South—the world’s first FLNG project in ultradeep water—by replicating our proven playbook with an enhanced approach.”

Under the contract, TechnipFMC will manufacture and install flexible flowlines and risers, as well as install subsea manifolds and umbilicals for the project.

The award was booked as part of TechnipFMC’s inbound orders during the second quarter of 2025.
