Energean Commissions Second Oil Train on Karish FPSO

Energean has commissioned the second oil train on its Energean Power FPSO, increasing liquids processing capacity at the Karish and Karish North fields offshore Israel from 18,000 to 31,000 bpd.

(P&GJ) — Energean has commissioned the second oil train on its Energean Power FPSO, increasing liquids processing capacity at the Karish and Karish North fields offshore northern Israel from 18,000 barrels per day (bpd) to 31,000 bpd.

The commissioning raises the vessel's total liquids processing capacity by 72%, expanding production capability at the offshore fields.

The company said the FPSO has been tested at rates of up to 21,000 bpd to date and will continue testing at higher production rates during August.

The additional processing capacity is expected to increase the share of production linked to Brent crude pricing, improving the company's exposure to international oil markets.

Energean said the commissioning marks a significant operational milestone for the offshore development.
