Poland's Gas Storage Tops 70%, Exceeds Early July Target
Poland's natural gas storage facilities are more than 70% full, surpassing the country's early July target and placing it among Europe's highest storage levels as the region prepares for the next heating season.
(Reuters) — Poland's gas storage facilities are over 70% full, exceeding the 60% national target for early July and topping 64% a year ago, the operator Gas Storage Poland said on July 1.
Poland had 2.3 billion cubic meters of gas stored on July 1, the company said in a statement. That would place the country third highest after Portugal and Spain in terms of European countries with the highest levels so far of stored gas, data from the Gas Infrastructure Europe platform showed.
The European Union aggregate storage fill was 49% as of June 30, the data showed.
