EnerMech Completes Offshore Pipeline Work in Australia's Bass Strait
EnerMech has completed an offshore cleaning and preparation campaign on the Bass Strait pipeline system and secured follow-on work supporting offshore operations in Australia.
(P&GJ) — EnerMech has completed an offshore cleaning and preparation campaign on the Bass Strait pipeline system in Australia's Gippsland Basin, supporting ongoing operations across several offshore production platforms.
The work was performed as part of an offshore asset campaign led by UGL on behalf of Esso Australia Resources Pty Ltd., a subsidiary of ExxonMobil Australia. Activities were carried out on infrastructure connecting the Marlin A, West Kingfish, Kingfish A and Kingfish B platforms.
According to EnerMech, crews completed equipment testing, mobilization and offshore deployment on an accelerated schedule to meet project requirements. The work required coordination between engineering, logistics and offshore operations teams across multiple offshore locations.
Chief Executive Officer Chuck Davison said the project involved executing offshore work within compressed timelines while maintaining operational and safety standards.
"This project demonstrates our ability to execute complex offshore scopes under tight timelines while maintaining strong safety and operational performance," Davison said.
Following completion of the campaign, EnerMech said it has been selected as the preferred contractor for an additional offshore scope that will involve expanded equipment requirements and more demanding operating conditions.
