Pembina Pipeline Enters LPG Export Agreement with AltaGas

Pembina Pipeline signed a long-term deal with AltaGas for 30,000 bpd of LPG export capacity at British Columbia terminals, boosting its West Coast access to premium Asian markets by 2027.

(P&GJ) — Pembina Pipeline Corp. has signed a long-term agreement with AltaGas Ltd. for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) export capacity at two of AltaGas’ terminals in British Columbia, the companies said.

The deal grants Pembina 30,000 barrels per day (bpd) of export space, including 20,000 bpd at the Ridley Island Propane Export Terminal starting in April 2026 and another 10,000 bpd at the planned Ridley Island Energy Export Facility beginning in April 2027.

“This agreement builds upon Pembina’s existing and valued relationship as one of AltaGas’ largest customers,” Pembina said in a statement.

The additional export capacity will give Pembina 50,000 bpd of total access to global markets from Canada’s West Coast, including premium Asian destinations, when combined with its existing capacity at the Prince Rupert Terminal.
