Jordan, Iraq to Construct Oil and Gas Pipeline

Iraq and Jordan agree to move ahead with a twin oil and gas pipeline construction project.

To better serve energy needs in the region, Iraq and Jordan today announced they have reached an agreement to construct a twin oil and gas pipeline.

Under the terms of the framework agreement, the 1,680-kilometer pipeline will be designed to transport one million bpd of crude oil and 258 mmcft of natural gas from Basra to Aqaba.
